Can I get a drumroll, please........

Good Monday Morning!

I had a fabulous day yesterday......
Finally moved some finished pieces into the Restored~Home space!
Yeeeeeeehaw!

Without further ado let me just show you......

This little piece became a real "Show Stopper", I think!  I stripped the top and lightly whitewashed it.....applied a stencil in gray and then waxed.  The bottom is painted ASCP Graphite.
Oh my, she is cute!
I guess in order to really appreciate her current state of beauty you have to see the "ashes" that she came from......

Here is her "before".

Next up are the French Chairs that go oh so beautifully along each side of the table above.

There are two of them.....twins!

Here are more detailed shots...

These are painted ASCP Paris Gray.
Dry brushed with Old White, distressed and waxed.

A little toile detail for some added French flair!

Lurve her curves.....heehee.

And her legs are stunning, as well!
(Why do I feel like I am writing for Cosmo???)

Here she is "before".

Not bad....just a little drab....don't ya think?

As long as we are on a French kick......check this sweet little French buffet out....

Another piece that I would gladly place in my dining room!

Notice the Fleur de Lis that I added to the doors.....that is my idea of subtle beauty.

She is painted ASCP (I know....surprise!) Country Gray with a whitewash over the top.
I stripped and stained the top and simply waxed to a beautiful sheen.

Sidenote: If you have not tried the ASCP wax....you absolutely MUST!  The more I use it the more I love it!  I am not sure that I will ever use a poly finish again.....seriously, it is THAT great!

I kept the original hardware...just cleaned it up with some white vinegar.
I love the patina......

Again, in order to appreciate her makeover you simply have to see where she came from....

If she doesn't have a home soon she is moving back in with me!

And last, but certainly not least, in this fashion show is my little shabby, chippy dresser.

She is a complete juxtaposition, wouldn't you agree?
I know that her "look" may not appeal to everyone but hey, to each his own!
I believe in variety......just like God!

She is painted with ASCP.....NOT!
Just keepin' you on yer toes!

I tried Old Fashioned Milk Paint for the first time.....
ya know, the powdered stuff?

I love the finish......Milk Paint is completely different than ASCP to work with.
It has it's place in furniture finishing but in my book......well, I am partial to ASCP.

Anyhoo......I stripped the top and just added several coats of wax.  No stain.  I wanted to keep the aged, worn look consistent.  Same with the hardware.  No abrasive cleaning......

And there you have it, my friends!  This is our initial line up at Restored~Home......well, actually there is a dining set that will be on the scene by the end of the week.

Vintage decor items will be arriving daily......along with a knockout French crystal chandelier.....dried bunches of lavender and all other sorts of surprises!
Just in time for our Grand Opening this weekend!

Of course, we will be fully stocked with the complete line of Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, waxes, books, and brushes.  Come and get yours!

I've said it before and since it it worth repeating I'll say it again.....
