My name is Rhonda and I am a full-time mom/wife and a part-time decorative painting instructor, decorator/designer/gardener/pastry chef and very amateur seamstress.....
ie. creator (and lover) of all things lovely.I started my blog almost a year ago when I decided to remodel/redecorate my home on a very tight budget. I then “found” Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Blog Land and planned to use it only for my personal use. A few days passed and I decided that I was having so much fun and could create more furniture and décor pieces than I could ever use so I decided to open a booth in a local antique mall. Fast forward a few more weeks and I became a stockist for Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and a new business evolved.

What an exciting place to be!
I believe that this is a gift from God and I am elated to see where we end up. I have found what I have always wanted to do. I believe in passion and purpose and when the two converge…..and you have God’s blessing…..wonderful, beautiful things happen.
Although I do not care to date myself (*smile*) I will tell you that I spent the better part of 20 years enjoying every aspect of hospital pharmacy, from operations to implementation to marketing and a few things in-between. Now I am in a different season in my life and I am enjoying this place very much.

(Did I mention my love of SHOPPING and THRIFTING? Antique malls, resale shops, Craigslist,dumpster diving.....be still my vintage lovin' little heart....*grin*)

I started my blog about a year ago and a new world opened up to me. I have found that I love to write. Notice in my description I never mentioned "writer" as one of my gifts....but I have found an outlet here and am enjoying it immensely. I tend to write how I talk/think....and well, sometimes that is just plain hard to follow....so forgive me in advance.
I am super excited to share my knowledge and creations with you here at Restored~Home and also get to learn new things from you. This is truly a gift to be able to call this my “job.”
Before I bring this little "dog and pony show" to a close I must tell you that my profile would not be complete without mentioning that I owe all that I am and all that I have to my Father in Heaven and His Glorious Son, Jesus! My faith sustains me and defines who I am. I am thankful for my salvation through Christ as it has truly changed my life, all that I am and all that I desire to be.
