Oh my goodness.......I have missed "chatting" with y'all.
It is 9:52pm as I write and I just sat down for the day.....I know, early for me!
This past week has been a blur. Restored~Home is still not "officially" open for business although the curtains are hung and my door sign is there......all looking very lovely, I might add......but alas, I have once again bit off a bit more than even I could chew! *smirk*
What was I thinking when I tried to open.....and prepare for that.....and get my boys ready for school.....and have our 3 international boys arrive........and still be a wife, and a mom......and keep (or atleast maintain) the small amount of sanity that I do have left?!
So what exactly HAVE I been doing.......well, let's see.....finished ruffle curtains, made a large dropcloth stenciled rug, painted a small TON of furniture, sewed cushions and slipcovers, picked up a few items from Craigslist, worked on lots of decor items ( and a little shopping....hey, I am still R.H.O.N.D.A).... started my Christmas "idea" list for Restored~Home, picked up our first Annie Sloan Chalk Paint order (which, by the way, I am dying to get set up in the booth) helped Mr. YBR build a cabinet to hold the paint....waxed, buffed, stenciled.....cried, laughed, glistened (I do not sweat....just not pretty....LOL), prayed and passed out at the end of each day.
NOTE: If I had a conversation with you this week please do NOT hold me to anything.....as I said, BLUR.....my dreams even consisted of painting!
On another note, the boys have all settled in nicely......jet lag seems to have subsided and school has begun. For those of you who don't know we host international students through a program at our son's school. We love it! This year we have 2 returning boys from last year and a new boy just starting this year. They are all spectacular! It is amazing how some things just cross cultural barriers.......teenage boys are teenage boys regardless of their geographical location. I'll share some stories when my energy level returns.....
I guess that is it for me tonight. I just wanted to touch base with everyone and say "Hey." I'll be back full force soon. I have missed blogging so much.
I have a bunch of new pics to share and am working on a few tutorials.......

Hey lady!! This week has been a blur!! So much going on here as well! I started work and at times wondered what I was thinking but so grateful to have found a fab place to be that gets my mind off my empty nest! Many hugs!
